walk cycle task

During one of our lectures we were set a task to create a walk cycle using the max for maya rig.

At first i found the task quite daunting because I was only sticking to using the timeline at the bottom of the screen when sam malone our lecturer said to me that I need to use a combination of the graph editor and the timeline in order to get a more cogent animation together.

Taking this into consideration I managed to get a decent walk cycle but personally I think I could have done better more revisions of the walk cycle will follow soon.

The following image was given to us as a guide which I will elaborate further on

this image is a sketch from a popular animator named Richard Williams, it explains about the certain phases of a basic walk cycle shortened they are the contact and the pass with occasional down/up phases inbetween in order to show weight and gravity in the animation
